On January 26, the National Library of Azerbaijan hosted a presentation ceremony for the book "Fuzuli Artifact" by Mir Jalal Pashayev, a well-known writer and literary scholar, which was published in the "Bibliotheca Academica" series of selected publications in the field of oriental studies by the German "Ergon-Nomos" publishing house. Orientalist Michael Reinhard Hess, docent at Giesen University, translated the book into German.

Hafiz Pashayev, rector of ADA University, German scientist Michael Reinhard Hess, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, and other prominent leaders in science and culture attended the presentation event, which was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and the National Library.

Professor Karim Tahirov, Director of the National Library, addressed at the occasion, stating that Mir Jalal's timeless works, which he contributed to Azerbaijani literature, are still relevant today. He stated that readers will always like these works.
Professor Hess, who defended his PhD dissertation on our genius poet Imadaddin Nasimi at the Free University of Berlin, is also well-known among Azerbaijani and European readers as the author of the book "Shushan's Legacy".
Mir Jalal Pashayev defended his candidate's thesis on "Poetic characteristics of Fuzuli" in 1940, enlarged it in 1958, and published it as a book under the title "Fuzuli art".

In his "Preface" to the book, orientalist-scientist Hess performed a scientific-critical investigation of the literary and historical-political environments of both the Fuzuli and Mir Jalal periods. The German researcher informs the Western reader about the Soviet regime's prohibitions and interferences in literature, and says that, despite the ideological constraints of the period, Mir Jalal was able to investigate and exhibit Fuzuli as a national poet.

Academician Isa Habibbayli, President of ANAS, spoke about Mir Jalal's arduous work as a scientist and prose writer. He discussed the contributions of various literary critics, whom he taught as a scientist, to the advancement of Azerbaijani science.

I. Habibbeyli discussed Mir Jalal's inventiveness and his work as a scientist, teacher, and actual writer.

The event's speakers stressed that the offered book is an invaluable resource for all times.
