ANAS Institute of Literature held an event dedicated to the January 20 tragedy

An event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy was held at the Nizami Ganjavi Literary Institute with the participation of the Council of Young Scientists and Experts.
Associate professor Mehman Hasanli, executive director of the Institute of Literature and Ph.D. in philology, gave the event's opening statement. Mehman Hasanli emphasized that the events of January 20 were not without consequences and that Azerbaijan had regained its freedom. He stated that our country's military achievement, which began with the Patriotic War, continues.

He emphasized that our territorial integrity has been restored as a consequence of the anti-terrorism operation in September 2023.
Then Shafa Aliyeva, chairperson of the Institute of Literature's Council of Young Scientists and Specialists and a doctor of philosophy in philology, addressed, saying that the victims of the January 20 tragedy would always be remembered with respect.He said that young scientists are also doing excellent job in this area. Professor Tahira Mammad, Head of the Institute of Literature's Literary Theory Department and a Doctor of Philology, remembered the experiences of the massacre's survivors. Orkhan Isayev, Deputy Chairman of the Institute of Literature's Council of Young Scholars and Specialists, fellow poet Ibrahim Yusifoglu, and Ph.D. in Philology Gulnar Gambarli discussed the event's subject.
Gulnar Gasimli, a senior researcher at the Department of Press History and Publicism and a Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, delivered a speech titled "Tragedy of January 20 in Our Poems".
