Academician Isa Habibbeyli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences attended and delivered a speech at the VI Assembly of the International Scientific Council, which is considered the world's largest scientific organization which was held on September 14-16, 2023 at the Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts. On July 4, 2023, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was elected a member of the International Scientific Council, which unites 230 scientific academic institutions. ANAS has full voting right in making decisions in the International Scientific Council.

At the meeting of the VI Assembly of the International Scientific Council, the priorities and modern problems of world science in the new historical stage were widely discussed. Heads and representatives of academic institutions of Turkey, England, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Estonia, Albania, Montenegro and the Netherlands, representatives of international scientific organizations participated and spoke at the meeting of the VI Assembly. At the meetings, scientific reports on problems such as climate change, research and forecasting of food and energy security issues, creative study of international scientific experience, innovation, artificial intelligence, popularization of science, etc. were heard, discussions were held and relevant decisions were made. In particular, "Science and democracy" (B. Sepanovich - Royal Netherlands Academy of Science and Arts), "New evolution in the theory of evolution. Artificial intelligence and its risks" (V. Chrnoyevich - University of Novi Sad), "Publishing reform for the digital world" (Luke Drury - Royal Irish Academy), "From risk management in science to better management of uncertainty" (M. Kruusmaa - European Science Commission), "Framework and perspectives for European science diplomacy" (J.M. Müller - International Scientific Council), "Science in the age of innovation, or innovation in science" (A. Mauranen - Montenegro) and others were widely discussed.

The meeting of the assembly was chaired by the president of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, Academician Tarmo Soomere.

President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, spoke at the first meeting of the International Scientific Council held in the assembly hall of the Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts on September 14 as a representative of the Academy, which was newly admitted to the membership of this great scientific organization, while noting the importance of studying international scientific experience and the relations between academies. noted the necessity of its development and provided information about the scientific capabilities of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

In addition, the head of ANAS spoke at the dialogue of the presidents of the Academies of Sciences held under the leadership of Academician Dragan Vukcevic, President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Montenegro on September 15 and spoke on the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, as well as the importance of developing humanities and social sciences in modern conditions.

At the same time, within the framework of the visit, Academician Isa Habibbeyli met with the president of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, professor Muzaffar Shekar, the president of the Association of Asian Sciences Academies, professor Ahmet Yurdusev, the president of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, academician Yulian Revalski, the president of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, academician Dragan Vukcevic, and exchanged views. discussed cooperation issues.

For the first time, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, as a full member, voted for the adoption of decisions at the final session of the VI Assembly of the International Scientific Council.

During the visit, Academician Isa Habibbeyli visited the statue of the famous Azerbaijani poet and playwright Huseyn Javid in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

Academician Isa Habibbayli's article entitled "Azerbaijani literature: literary-historical tradition and modernity" has published in the "Glasnik" scientific journal of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences.
