Employees of ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi visited Shusha, the capital of culture of Azerbaijan.

The main purpose of the visit, initiated by ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute, Academician Isa Habibbayli, was to see Shusha, has liberated from occupation as a result of the glorious victory of the victorious Azerbaijani army led by Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day war.

Among our prominent poets and writers Molla Panah Vagif, Khurshidbanu Natavan, Mir Mohsun Navvab, Najaf bey Vazirov, Suleyman Sani Akhundov, Uzeyir bey Hajibeyli, Ahmad bey Agaoglu, Jeyhun bey Hajibeyli, Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli and many others.Taking into account the desire of every Azerbaijani citizen, including literary critics, to visit Shusha, which they have dreamed of for thirty years, the Institute of Literature, with the support of the Trade Union of the institution, organized a visit to the cultural capital.

The visit to Shusha was carried out taking advantage of the opportunities created by our state during its civil visits to Shusha. During the visit, the employees of the institute visited the house and fountain of Khurshidbanu Natavan, Shusha fortress, statues of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Khurshidbanu Natavan and Bulbul in the central square, Bulbul's house museum, Cidir plain and museum-mausoleum complex of Molla Panah Vagif.

On March 14, 2022, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on the celebration of the 190th anniversary of the birth of our outstanding poet Khurshidbanu Natavan.

In accordance with the order of the President, a scientific session entitled "Khan gizi Khurshidbanu Natavan" dedicated to the prominent poet was held in front of the statue of Khurshidbanu Natavan in the center of Shusha.

Executive Director of the Institute, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Mehman Hasanli, Researcher of Natavan Heritage, Professor Islam Garibli, Doctor of Philology Mahira Guliyeva, Scientific Secretary of the Institute, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli and PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Farida Hijran spoke at the session They spoke about the visit to Shusha and the life and work of Khurshidbanu Natavan.

The visit to Shusha left a rich impression on the staff of the Institute of Literature. There is no doubt that these impressions will stimulate future scientific research.
