These days, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Firat University of the Republic of Turkey, in order to develop scientific relations within the framework of beneficial cooperation, and to organize joint activities.
The document of cooperation was approved by the President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, General Director of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi, Academician Isa Habibbayli. At the official invitation of Fırat University, the coordinator of relevant relations, Doctor of Philology, Professor Asif Rustamli, who is on a visit to Elazig has signed the Memorandum of Understanding approved by the institute and the Rector of Fırat University, Prof.Dr. Fahrettin Goktash.
Initially, the memorandum will remain in force for a period of five years, with joint research of Azerbaijan-Turkey literary relations, organization of intercultural dialogue, joint research of the folklore of Turkish peoples, provision of joint participation of representatives of the parties in the implementation of international projects and programs, exchange of scientists and specialists within the framework of agreed activities, their professional ensuring the improvement of skills, creating conditions for the implementation of research works in scientific-research institutes, libraries and archives, holding mutually important joint seminars, symposiums, scientific conferences, meetings and exhibitions, etc. reflects important activity directions.
On May 18, 2023, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding was organized at the Firat University of the Republic of Turkey. The event attended by Rector of the University, Prof.Dr. Fahrettin Goktash, vice-rector for scientific affairs of the University, Prof.Dr. Soner Ozgen, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof.Dr. Abdulhalim Aydın, assistant dean Assoc.Dr. Seda Arıkan, teaching member of the Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literature, head of TÖMER, Assoc.Dr. Süleyman Kaan Yalçın, researcher, Dr. Veysel Garaja, senior researcher at the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi, Doctor of philology, Professor Asif Rustamli and others.
