On January 16 at the next meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences a number of changes on the structure of ANAS Presidium were discussed.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that in order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of July 28, 2022 "On some measures related to the improvement of management in the field of science and education in the Republic of Azerbaijan", the Presidium of ANAS adopted a decision dated 19.08.2022. According to paragraph 2 of the decision, taking into account the need to adapt the existing structure of the Presidium apparatus to the new structure of ANAS and the new number of employees, a new structure of the Presidium apparatus was created. The head of ANAS drew attention to the fact that the practice of organizing optimal structural models that allow the application of new innovative management mechanisms in the field of scientific management, more efficient use of human resources in international practice, it is necessary to revise the structure of the Presidium apparatus, the directions of its departments and, as a result, the names of departments.
Taking into account the above, the new structure of the Presidium of ANAS was approved. Department of Organization of Scientific, Technical and Innovative Activity of the Apparatus, Department of Organization of Scientific, Technical and Innovative Activity, Department of International Relations and Organization of Scientific Research (Education) Abroad, Department of International Relations, Media and Information Department, Department of Public Relations and Information , Personnel potential and education department, Human resources department, Legal assurance department, Legal department, General department, Document work department, Scientific heritage and document archiving department were defined as Scientific heritage department. The Finance Department was abolished, and the Finance and Accounting Department was established on its basis.
