This year, ANAS marks the 90th anniversary of ANAS Nizami Gencevi Literary Institute. First of all, let this glorious history be blessed to the scientists and employees of the Institute, the literary community of Azerbaijan and the whole Turkic world.
Azerbaijani literature cannot be evaluated without the works of Nizami Gencevi Institute of Literature. The Institute conducted quality research on all periods of Azerbaijani literature from the classical period to the present day, and communicated these researches to those related to the world of science through the published magazines and books.
The most valuable works of ANAS Nizami Gencevi Literary Institute in recent years are undoubtedly the works on the literature of Turkic peoples. Deputy, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and world-renowned literary researcher Prof.Dr. Isa Habibbeyli's work on researching the literature of Turkic peoples and establishing links with the development of Azerbaijani literature has brought the Institute to a high point. Of course, the processes and developments that started in world literature have been followed by the Institute's equipped scientists and the works that have been transferred to the Azerbaijani public have been carried out and are being carried out. However, the importance given to the literature of the Turkic peoples, the activities of the researchers working on this issue have brought Azerbaijan to the fore in the literary relations of the Turkic peoples.
The Institute's efforts in researching the literature of the Turkic peoples are extremely necessary for a closer study of the processes of Azerbaijani literature. A collective study of closely related literatures provides an opportunity to learn more about Azerbaijani literature and the history of thought.
This method applied by the Nizami Gencevi Literary Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences should be an example for all institutions and scientists who research the literature of the Turkic peoples.
