Department of Nizami Studies of the ANAS Institute Literature after Nizami Ganjavi has published a collective monograph "Nizami Ganjav's life and activity"
The book was published in accordance with the Order of AR President Ilham Aliyev dated January 5, 2021, declaring 2021 the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" in Azerbaijan.
The book published by “Elm” publishing house and the author to the "Foreword" entitled "A word about the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi and an introduction to the Azerbaijani Nizami Studies" is ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi, Academician Isa Habibbayli.
The scientific editor is ANAS corresponding member Nushaba Arasli, the responsible editors are PhD in Philology, associate Professors Zahra Allahverdiyeva and Aygun Bagirli.
The 984-page book is the 1st generalized fundamental research work that fully covers the life and work of Nizami Ganjavi. The monograph scientifically presents the important political and strategic position of Nizami Ganjavi in the Eastern region of Azerbaijan in the XII century, the literary and social environment of the great poet, the biography of the great artist, sources of national affiliation and creativity, themes and ideas, various directions of art. The monograph "Nizami Ganjavi's life and activity" reflects the scientific approaches and researches of the Nizami Studies of Azerbaijan during the independence period.
The book consists of seven chapters and includes a bibliography in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English and sections on "World Nizami Study". The researches in the book were written by Isa Habibbayli, Nushaba Arasli, Imamverdi Hamidov, Farida Azizova, Almaz Ulvi, Zahra Allahverdiyeva, Tahmina Badalova, Samira Aliyeva, Vafa Hajiyeva, Yelena Teyer, Hurnisa Bashirova.
