It was held 80 years anniversary of prominent literary critic, scientist Gazanfar Pashayev in ANAS
It was held event dedicated to 80th years anniversary of prominent literary critic, scientist Gazanfar Pashayev with the organization of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi in Central Scientific Library of ANAS.
Vice - president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature, academic Isa Habibbayli who opened the event with speech participated by celebrated scientific and cultural people, social figures spoke about scientific and artistic creativity of prominent scientist and the gifts made by him to Azerbaijani literature. He noted that the top of the creativity of the prominent representative of our philological thought, Gazanfar Pashayev is the work “6 years on the coast of Dajla and Farat” that he wrote in artistic-publicistic, scientific- memoir style.
While speaking about investigation which Gazanfar Pashayev held in Irag, Turkey and Iran, academic I. Habibbayli said that he was popular as linguistic, literary critic, folk-lore scientist in those countries.
Then chief of the department of institute, professor Shirindil Alishnali gave a talk about creativity of Gazanfar Pashayev who had great services in Azerbaijani literature. Sh. Alishanli who said that the scientist has great respect in Turkish world also spoke his qualities as intellectual, friend and citizenship.
Academics - Teymur Bunyadov, Nizami Jafarov, correspondent member of ANAS Misir Mardanov, professor Buldukhan Xalilov, Kirkuk guests Mustafa Ziya and Shamsaddin Kuzechi, secretary of Azerbaijan Writer’s Union Rashad Majid and others spoke about creativity of the scientist, talked about memories related with him.
Gazanfar Pashayev who addressed last expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants of the event.
