The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi ANAS was held. The main issue on the agenda of the meeting is this year's enterprise
during the first 6 months, his report on scientific and scientific-organizational activity was heard.
First, the said award was presented to Professor Gazanfar Pashayev, the senior researcher of the Institute of Literature, who was awarded the "European Order of Honor" by the International Academy of Sciences of Turkic World Studies. Also, the head of the department of New Age Azerbaijani literature of the institute, Professor Islam Garibli, was awarded the Honorary Order of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature on the occasion of his 70th anniversary.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, the president of ANAS, the director of the institute, who opened the event with his opening speech, reviewed the general activity of the institution's employees and expressed his confidence that the scope of scientific research will expand and new achievements will be achieved in the next 6 months.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, who said that discussions on the scientific and scientific-organizational activities for the first half of 2024 are currently being held in all institutes and organizations of ANAS, said that the members of the ANAS Presidium were assigned to report meetings in order to improve the quality of scientific research work and exchange ideas more efficiently. .
Later, at the meeting, the situation of the planned works related to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev "On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" dated December 30, 2023 was discussed.
The head of ANAS drew attention to the fact that various measures are being held across the country based on the Decree of important political importance. Academician Isa Habibbayli said that a series of events were organized in ANAS in connection with the jubilee of Nakhchivan, which is an integral part of Azerbaijan, and said that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the autonomous republic, the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature and the Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS jointly organized the "Literary Environment of Nakhchivan: Traditions and Modern Times" prepares the book for publication. Then the scientific secretary of the Institute of Literature, Ph.D. in philology, associate professor Aygün Bagırli presented the semi-annual scientific report of the institution for 2024. He gave information about the works assigned to scientific institutions in connection with the implementation of decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as state programs. On the declaration of 2024 by the head of the country Aygun Bagirli as "the year of solidarity for the sake of the green world", "on the celebration of the 530th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Muhammad Fuzuli", "on the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade", "100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" about the celebration of the jubilee", as well as "about the plan of events related to the declaration of the city of Shusha as the "cultural capital of the Islamic world" for 2024" and "events related to the selection of the city of Shusha as the "youth capital of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation" for 2024 about" drew attention to the works done in the institute according to the orders.
The speaker said that currently researches are being conducted in 2 areas, 8 problems, 19 topics and 133 works in the institution. He noted that the institute has dedicated a special place to the expansion of international relations and reminded that a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Kirkuk Cultural Association in March of the current year. Aygün Bagırlı emphasized that the development of young personnel potential is also important in the enterprise.
The scientific secretary spoke about the work done in the current year related to the promotion and popularization of scientific knowledge at the institute, and said that business cooperation relations were established with the mass media, and regular speeches of the institution's managers, leading scientists and specialists were organized in the mass media.
At the meeting, the head of the Science and Education Department of the Presidium of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Sarkhan Khavari said that the Institute of Literature has an ancient history and rich traditions. He positively evaluated the report, which reflects the activity of the enterprise in the first half of 2024 in a wide, complete and comprehensive manner, and the work done.
Later, the deputy director of the institute, Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor Mehman Hasanli gave a report on "Electronic Literature Institute in 2024: results and prospects". Also, the head of the Department of Literary Criticism, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Vagif Yusifli informed about the state of preparation for the "Literary Process-2023" creative conference.
Other issues were also discussed at the event. Those who spoke on the topic highly valued the report on the half-yearly activity of the institute in 2024, and the enterprise was productive.
