A lecture on "The material, cultural and literary heritage created by the Azerbaijani people in Western Azerbaijan" was delivered in Uzbekistan by a scientist originating from Azerbaijan.
A lecture on "The material, cultural and literary heritage created by the Azerbaijani people in Western Azerbaijan" was presented to students in a senior course organised by the Heydar Aliyev Centre of Azerbaijani Culture in Uzbekistan, whichh was led by Ph.D.in Philology Mehman Hasanli.

During the lecture, the students were informed about the rich literary and cultural legacy of the Azerbaijani people. The lecture provided the students with more in-depth knowledge on the literary legacy, instances of culture, and development characteristics of the literary process that the Azerbaijani people in Western Azerbaijan have generated throughout history. Mehman Hasanli further mentioned that our people were driven from Western Azerbaijan, which is our historical ancestral land, and that the material and cultural heritage that the Azerbaijani people have been creating for hundreds of years was vandalised as a result of Armenian invasion. Consequently, historical structures and monuments erected by Azerbaijanis were demolished, and efforts were undertaken to eradicate all reminders of their existence.

But our place names and toponyms continue to persist, one of the most obvious indications that there remain permanent remnants of our people throughout those areas. Despite being distant from their historical ancestral lands, our countrymen who were uprooted from Western Azerbaijan still long for the day when they will be able to return there. They currently reside in many nations across the world.
