The school-lyceum number 20 after A. Huseynzadeh held an event under the organization of Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory on "Integration of science and education in secondary schools, participation of students in domestic and international projects".
In addition to the management and teaching staff of school number 20, the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory after N.Tusi of the Ministry of Science and Education, Institute of Biophysics, Institute of Geography after H. Aliyev, Institute of Literature after N. Ganjavi and Linguistics after Nasimi of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences attended the event. The event also was attended by employees of the Institute.
The goal of the initiative is to promote science among schoolchildren, encourage students to learn science, and prepare them for participation in various local and international projects.
Esmira Aghayeva, Director of school-lyceum number 20 opened the event, greeted the participants and highly appreciated the role of such events in the development of students in the scientific direction. He said that the integration of science and education is a direct requirement of modern times. The main factor determining the development in accordance with the new challenges of the changing world is the establishment of joint coordinated activity. As an example, E. Aghayeva, who noted the achievements of specially trained students in various projects and competitions within the framework of cooperation between Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory and school No. 20, said that the establishment of similar cooperation in all fields of fundamental science will promote scientific progress.
After the opening ceremony, the scientific session started its work against the background of scientific and popular speeches. At the scientific session, associate professor Hamayil Adigozelzadeh, associate professor of astronomy, Aynura Hasanova, chairman of the Young Scientists and Specialists Council of the Observatory, Samira Rahimli, vice-chairman of the Young Scientist and Specialists Council of the Observatory, Samira Rahimli, vice-chairman of the Young Scientist and Specialists Council of ANAS from the Institute of Literature, participated in the scientific session. At the end of the speeches, which were received with interest by the participants of the event, several groups of schoolchildren were formed for the "Scientist of the Future" project, according to their interests.
