An International Scientific Seminar «Physics and humanities: world experience and reality of science and humanities in CIS countries» was held Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Moscow.
The event was organized by ANAS, CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation and BNTI. Vice President of ANAS, Director of Literature Institute named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Isa Habibbeyli, Rector of Khazar University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Academician-Secretary of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences Division, Director of Physics Institute, Academician Nazim Mammadov, deputy of the Milli Majlis Agajan Abiyev, director of Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi, correspondent member of ANAS Namiq Jalilov, secretary of the Writers Union of Azerbaijan Rashad Majid and others attended the seminar.
Director of the United Nuclear Research Institute, academician Viktor Matveev opened the conference and informed about the Dubna scientific campus and its activities.
Advisor to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia Agshin Aliyev wished the scientists success in their work.
It should be noted that the debate between exact and humanitarian sciences began in the middle of the last century after the Soviet poet Boris Slutsky's poem "Physics and Lyricists" published in Literaturnaya Gazeta in 1959
The first topic of the international scientific seminar was "Physics and Lyricists: The World Experience and Reality in Science and Literature in the CIS Countries" was held in Baku and Shamakhi on November 16-17.
