ANAS Institute of Literature held the annual report for 2023

The Scientific Council of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS held a report meeting.

The exhibition of books produced during the year began with an introduction.

Academician Mohsun Nasoylu, adviser to the President of ANAS on humanitarian concerns, members of the Scientific Council and people concerned with the topics on the agenda attended the meeting. ANAS President,  Academician Isa Habibbeyli, began the scientific council and introduced the participants to the problems on the agenda. It was approved by a daily vote.

Employees of the institute, doctors of philological sciences, professors Mammad Aliyev and Akif Imanli 75, doctors of philosophy in philology, assistant professors Hijran Nasibova 70 and Gandab Aliyeva, were awarded an honorary decree at the meeting of the scientific council on the occasion of their 60th anniversary.

Simultaneously, MP Shamil Ayrim, co-chairman of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, was granted the diploma "Honorary Friend of the Institute of Literature."

Scientific secretary of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi, PhD in Philology, associate professor Aygün Bagırli presented the annual scientific report for 2023. Aygun Bagirli reported on the implementation of the decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the tasks assigned to scientific institutions in connection with the implementation of state programs. She informed the participants on the events held in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 29, 2022 on the declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the books published in connection with the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Also, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 6, 2022 on the measures related to the declaration of the city of Shusha as the "Cultural Capital of the Turkish World" for 2023, on November 16, 2023, with the joint organization of the Presidium and the Institute of Literature, the international scientific conference on Ahmed Agaoğlu and the Turkic world.

In general, 109 out of 162 cases worked on 2 directions, 8 problems, 21 topics in the institute during the year, 53 cases are still being researched. Among the achievements of the institute, 80 publications including 48 books and monographs, 7 compilations, 8 textbooks, 10 literary works, 2 translations, 4 magazines and 1 conference material can be mentioned. 1050 articles were published, including 152 abroad.

Mehman Hasanli, Executive Director of the Institute and Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor, provided information about the "Institute of Electronic Literature" in 2023: results and prospects. Director of the Education Department, Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor Gunay Garayeva called attention to concerns pertinent to the department's mission. Finally, printing and competitiveness difficulties were raised.
