Opened the event Academician Isa Habibbayli, noted that today, when we are living the glorious pages of our centuries-old statehood history, our army has fulfilled the historic mission of fully restoring Azerbaijan's sovereignty with the anti-terrorist measures implemented in Karabakh under the leadership of Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, recalling that one year ago, President Ilham Aliyev signed the Decree declaring 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, the events and publications related to the Great Leader in our country and around the world during the past period are the rich heritage of the National Leader. along with, served to promote the achievements of the Azerbaijan state, strengthen and expand the ideology of Azerbaijanism.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, noted that Turkey-Azerbaijan friendship and brotherhood relations are at their highest level today, said that these relations are based on the words of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states" and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's "Azerbaijan's sorrow is our sorrow, its joy is our joy."
The speaker recalled the support given to Azerbaijan by the fraternal Turkish people and its leader during the Patriotic War, as well as the fact that Recep Tayyip Erdogan said "Karabakh is the land of Azerbaijan" during the anti-terrorist measures in Karabakh on September 19-20 from the highest seat in the world, such as the UN, which we have experienced in recent years under the leadership of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey. noted that it is one of the most important moments of the historical epoch.
Then, the chairman of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Centennial Platform, Elmin Sadigov, spoke about the events held by the platform under the "Year of Heydar Aliyev". He said that , the territorial integrity of our state was restored under the leadership of Shah Ismayil Khatai in the 16th century, Nadir Shah in the 18th century, and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev in the 21st century.
