On June 6, within the framework of the Second Turkish World Literature and Book Festival (II LitBookFest) ANAS held a meeting with the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, People's Writer Anar.
Speaking at the event, Academician Isa Habibbayli, ANAS President said that the organization of the Second Turkic World Literature and Book Festival in Azerbaijan is one of the factors that prove, our country is one of the main scientific and cultural centers of the Turkic world. Academician Isa Habibbayli said that the festival continued successfully and noted that the event caused great interest and joy of book lovers. He emphasized that the festival plays an important role in the promotion of literature, culture, science and public opinion.
Saying that the tradition of holding meetings with prominent writers and artists within the framework of the book festival exists all over the world, the scientist spoke about the multifaceted creative activity of the prominent writer and well-known public figure Anar.
The head of ANAS noted that People's writer Anar is one of the main creators of Azerbaijani literature during the period of independence: "Despite the Soviet ideology prevailing at the time when the writer started his work, he fought for independent Azerbaijani literature. The literary generation of the sixties and the leader of that generation, Mr. Anar, restored the tradition of national literature, which was started by Jalil Mammadguluzade and the Mollanasreddinites, and managed to bring national independence content to it."
Academician Isa Habibbayli noted that People's writer Anar created literature serving the people outside of ideology in Azerbaijan and that the writer is one of the creators of literature that prepares our people for the struggle for national independence. He said that the writer made a significant contribution to the processes of strengthening independence. The writer's work "White Ram, Black Ram" is a great work that explains the essence of independence and the importance of protecting it. According to Isa Habibbeyli, among the works dedicated to the struggle for independence in the new era, in the 19th century, there is no work comparable to "White Ram, Black Ram" in Azerbaijani literature.
The President of the Academy emphasized that People's Writer Anar's story "Hotel Room" clearly reflects the moral relations in the initial difficulties of the period of independence, the real events and ways out in the newly opened world, and the novel "Eyeball" interprets the importance of preserving independent statehood on the basis of eternal materials. .
Academician Isa Habibbayli, who said that Anar is an outstanding writer with a great reputation in the Turkish world, pointed out that the writer's works have been translated into about 40 languages of the West and the East. He reminded that Anar was recently awarded the Order of "Friendship" of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his services in the development of the literature of the Turkic world. He also said that the writer was elected as the head of the Union of Writers of Turkic-Speaking Countries of TURKSOY.
"The large readership of the Turkish world appreciates the People's writer Anar as the leader of the literature of the Turkish world of the new era," said the head of ANAS.
