80 years anniversary of great turkologist and famous orientalist scientist , active member of Georgian Academy of Sciences, Elizbar Javalidze was celebrated widely in Tbilisi.
President of Georgian Academy of Sciences, academic Georgi Kvasitadze who opened the jubilee event held on this occasion spoke about the services of the prominent scientist in orientalism science.
Then Vice President of ANAS, academic, Isa Habibbeyli had a lecture in the subject of "Academic Elizabeth Javelidze and Azerbaijan". Beside scientific evaluation of the activity of academic Elizbar Javalidze it was also emphasized that his services on investigation Azerbaijani literature gave monumental gifts for the development of scientific-cultural relations between the states.
He translated the “Book of Dede Kokut” together with her colleague Georgi Caculashvili into Georgian and published it in a book. Academic Elizbar Cavelidze is one of the well-known researchers of Sufism and Hypophthalmism.
Then it was attended a lecture in the topic of “Elizbar Javelidze stage in Georgian literature science ” by Turkish professor Ilyas Ustunyer.
