The decision by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to organize emergency presidential elections in our nation is a proclamation that our country has entered a new historical period. As everyone is aware, the independent state of Azerbaijan, led by President Ilham Aliyev, has completed the great tasks of a great stage of its independence by laying the solid foundations of its military power and economic development, and, most importantly, by winning the historical Victory in the Patriotic War. Azerbaijan is already acknowledged as a robust state with significant influence and a trustworthy voice in the international community.
The new tasks ahead necessitate the adoption of large-scale changes in Azerbaijan to meet the new difficulties of the modern era. The decision to conduct early elections in Azerbaijan is critical as a political move toward entering a new phase of development. Without a sure, the unprecedented elections that will be place in our nation will provide energy for further progress.
At the same time, following the historical Victory in the Patriotic War won by the Iron Fist of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and following the successful one-day military operation, the full assurance of our territorial integrity and the establishment of state sovereignty as a whole have necessitated the holding of elections across our entire country.
As a result, the extraordinary presidential elections scheduled for February 7, 2024, will be a comprehensive and conclusive affirmation of the Republic of Azerbaijan's state sovereignty in terms of geographical integrity. Azerbaijani scientists, like all sections of our people, regard the holding of extraordinary presidential elections as a significant political event in the sense of the grand beginning of a new stage of historical development in our country and the full confirmation of our state independence. Our country's existing people-state solidarity and robust public political stability completely ensure that the extraordinary presidential elections will be held in conditions of organized participation and unity of our people.
