The presentation of Mirza Alakbar Sabir's "Hophopnama" published in Uzbekistan was held under the co-organization of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan. The presentation took place at the Baku Expo Center within the framework of the 8th Baku International Book Fair.
At the event, ANAS Vice-President, General Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbayli spoke on the literary and cultural ties between the two countries: "Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations have been developing at a new stage in recent years. The embassies of Uzbekistan in our country and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan greatly support the development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan literary relations. Thanks to the initiative of Samir Abbasov, more than a hundred examples of Azerbaijani literature were translated into Uzbek and published. One of the newly printed works is Mirza Alakbar Sabir's "Hophopnama" and another is the Tashkent copy of Shah Ismayil Khatai's native language "Divan".
Samir Abbasov, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan added that this publication will be given free of charge to all libraries, universities, and research institutions of Uzbekistan.
