A special meeting of ANAS Presidium dedicated to the results of "Nizami Ganjavi Year" was held.
Today at the conference hall of the ANAS Presidium dedicated to the measures taken and the forthcoming tasks in connection with the implementation of the Order of President Ilham Aliyev "On declaring 2021" Nizami Ganjavi Year" in the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated January 5, 2021. In introductory speech at the event, ANAS President, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev reminded that 2021 was marked in our country as the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" by the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The head of ANAS noted the historical significance of the 800th anniversary of the poet in 1941 in the field of research and publication of the works of the great poet, great thinker Nizami Ganjavi.He noted that, after the decision of prominent statesman, great leader Heydar Aliyev in 1979 "On measures to further improve the research, publication and translation of the works of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi" a new historical epoch began to study the life and work of the poet. He noted that large-scale measures have been taken. Academician R.Mehdiyev assessed the celebration of the 840th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi's birth in 1981 as one of the important events of the period.Noting that large-scale events were held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi", head of ANAS stressed that important work was done in Azerbaijan and abroad in 2021 in accordance with the Action Plan approved by the Presidium. The academician added that for this purpose, numerous international and national conferences were held in the research institutions of ANAS, and along with Azerbaijani scientists, experts from different countries of the world made reports at these events.Then, in the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" information was given about the books published by ANAS employees in different languages, their list was presented.
At the end, Academician Arif Hashimov, Academician Isa Habibbayli, Academician Irada Huseynova, Academician Rafael Huseynov, Academician Teymur Karimli, corresponding member Nushaba Arasli, PhD in political sciences Eldar Amirov were awarded for their special activity in "Nizami Ganjavi Year" awarded by the decision of ANAS Presidium. Professor Khalil Yusifli, corresponding member Namig Jalilov, Academician Fuad Aliyev, Doctors of Philology Imamverdi Hamidov, Farida Azizova, Mehdi Kazimov, Associate Professor Sirajaddin Hajiyev, Honored Cultural Worker Fakhraddin Aliyev, Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, Academician Naila Valikhanli, Doctor of Philology Babakhanli, Maryam Seyidbeyli, Seyfaddin Rzayev, Shafag Alibeyli, Ramazan Gafarli, Elnara Akimova, Aybaniz Aliyeva-Kangarli, associate professor Zahra Allahverdiyeva, corresponding member Artegin Salamzade, Doctor of Philology Mammad Aliyev and Honored cultural worker Seyfaddin Mammadaliyev and a group of scientists and researchers awarded by Honorary Decree of ANAS.
