ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi hosted the 60th anniversary of the popular science journal "Science and Life".
Opening the event, ANAS Vice-President, Director of ANAS Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbayli spoke on the great development of the publication and its current activities. He congratulated the staff of the academic publication on the anniversary, saying that the journal meets modern requirements.
Then, Ulker Huseynova, chief specialist of the Department of Scientific Publications and Forecasting of the Institute of Literature spoke on the past and present of the journal.
Agahuseyn Shukurov, head of Public Relations and Information Department of ANAS Presidium, Executive Editor of “Science and Life” journal, PhD in Philology addressed the President of ANAS, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev and ANAS Vice-President on behalf of the editorial staff. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Academician Isa Habibbayli thanked and noted that, we will use our past experience to further improve our work.
As a popular science publication, the journal "Science and Life" has great merits in the history of the Azerbaijani press and enlightenment. It was the work of great scholars such as Hasan Abdullayev and Abdulla Garayev, ”said Vugar Ahmad, head of the Press History and Journalism Department of the Institute of Literature.
Former employees of the journal Maral Poladova, Mehpara Akhundova and others also spoke at the anniversary event, congratulating the staff of the publication and wishing them success.
