A book by Nizami Ganjavi‘s bulk of ghazals in Bulgarian presented in Bulgaria

Ghazals translated into Bulgarian by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Bulgaria and the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture at the Kliment Ohridski Sofia University of Baku Slavic University and the Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) on the occasion of Nizami Ganjavi's 880th anniversary The presentation of the book was held at the National Library of Bulgaria named after St. Cyril and Methodius.

Speaking at the presentation, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria Huseyn Huseynov, Director of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center Sofia Shigayeva-Mitreska, Director of the Bulgarian National Library Krasimira Alexandrova, Director of the Bulgarian Center for Oriental Language and Culture, Professor Ivo Panov, Head of the Turkology and Altaic Studies Department at Sofia University Irina Sariivanova, poetess Gergina Dvoretska, translator, poet Dimitr Hristov, as well as ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi, Academician Isa Habibbayli and leading researcher of the Institute of Legal Studies, associate professor Zahra Allahverdiyeva spoke by video link.

During the speeches, the speakers spoke about the life and work of Nizami Ganjavi, his place in world, Eastern and Azerbaijani literature, the influence of the great poet on other world-famous poets, including oriental miniatures and music, Nizami's bridge between Eastern and Western civilizations, as well as his recognition among Bulgarian scholars. gave detailed information and held discussions.

Speakers noted that many books were published in Azerbaijan as part of the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" and that these books were translated into different languages, including the translation of the ghazals of the great poet into Bulgarian was a significant event in the literary life of the two countries.

At the end of the event, several ghazals of the poet were read in Bulgarian and Azerbaijani.

Nizami Ganjavi's book of ghazals translated into Bulgarian, which has aroused great interest is expected to be distributed in libraries, universities and research centers in Bulgaria.
