An international conference on "Development of genre and style features of national literature in the XX-XXI centuries" was organized by the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after Galimjan Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
The event was attended by scientists and researchers from Russia, Azerbaijan, Central Asian republics and other countries.
The first vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, representing our country, made a report on "A new look at the classification of literary types and genres: experiments and satire as a literary genre" at the conference.
Academician Isa Habibbayli's report provided a detailed analysis and concrete generalizations on the history of literature and literary theory, looking at the problem from a scientific point of view. The conceptual report provides solid evidence for the inclusion of satire as a new literary genre in scientific theory and for the existence of specific genres of this literary genre. Academician Isa Habibbayli stressed the importance of developing satire as a new literary genre, noting that such a final scientific conclusion was reached due to many years of research.
The new scientific approach of the Azerbaijani scientist has been highly appreciated by world scientists. Commenting on the report, literary critics and linguists noted that this scientific conclusion of the academician is an important innovation in the field of literary theory.
