Institute of Literature held a meeting with Uzbek poets

ANAS Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi held a meeting with members of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, Uzbek poets Oktamay Khaldarova and Gulchohra Shahodinnikova. 
ANAS vice-president, director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli said that, political, economic, scientific and cultural relations between the two countries were expanded. He emphasized the role of the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Literary Relations Department in the joint promotion of Azerbaijani-Uzbek literature. He reminded that, Hamidulla Baltabayev was awarded the "Scientist of the Year" award by the Institute of Literature for his close participation in the literary process of the two countries.
Then, head of the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Literary Relations Department, Doctor of Philological sciences Almaz Ulvi Binnatova, informed on the creativity of Uzbek poets. She said that, they provided important merits in the development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations, wrote a saga devoted to Khojaly genocide and translated the works of the national writer Anar, Nabi Khazri and other writers into Uzbek.
In conclusion, guests expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and said that they would continue to promote the brotherly Azerbaijani literature in Uzbekistan.
Deputy director of the Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Alizadeh Asgarli, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli, scientific secretary, PhD in Philology Mehman Hasanli and poet Rustam Behrudi also attended the meeting.
