The genre feature of drama works, screenplays, films reflecting the subject of Karabakh in Azerbaijani literature of the period of independence is of interest. Drama works, screenplays, and films that present the events of the First Karabakh War and the Patriotic War to the public do not leave an impact on the national consciousness. For example, dramaturgy, which is the most conservative type of literature, influences the literary life and stimulates the development of artistic thought. It is noted by researchers that creating an artistic example in a dramatic type is a responsible job. The influence of the war on the people's life is revealed in the problems of drama works, screenplays and films reflecting the subject of Karabakh in the Azerbaijani literature of the period of independence. Also, a small model of the people's life during the war was created and presented to the society in an interactive way. The subject of war is not an artistic material against the background of real-life events, but an artistic vision of the historical stage that society has passed through. The ideas of our national unity, Azerbaijanism, and the liberation of our lost lands, which have become the cornerstone of the struggle for the freedom of Karabakh, are mainly manifested. The problematic of drama works, scripts, and films reflecting the subject of Karabakh in Azerbaijani literature during the period of independence mainly reflect the problems of the nation in two directions: the First Karabakh War and the Patriotic War.
