As part of the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference, the list of Jubilees of the Organization for 2020-2021 has been approved.
In accordance with the criteria, which has reflecting values, cultural diversity and universality of the organization, which recognizing beyond his country and attaching regional importance the Azerbaijan famous playwright and public figure Abdurrahim Hagverdiyev’s 150th anniversary has been included into the list of Jubilees of the UNESCO.
The document prepared by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO and the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to UNESCO has been positively evaluated by the Secretariat of the organization.
The events dedicated to Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev’s 150th anniversary will be held at the UNESCO level in 2020.
