The VI meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of National Academies of Sciences of the Turkic World (TDUBAB) was held in Almaty with the support of the Kazakh National University after Al-Farabi by the International Turkish Academy.
At the event, Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the International Turkish Academy, Academician Sahin Mustafayev, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, prof. Muzaffar Shekar, Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Janseyit Tuymebayev, Executive Director of the Hungarian Delegation of the Organization of Turkic States Janos Hovari, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kunsulu Zakarya, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Abdrahmatov, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences Regdel Duger, Bashkir Kamil Ramazanov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (RF), Daniya Zagidullina, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (RF), General Secretary of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Respublika Gayrat Bahadirov, as well as rectors of the universities of sister countries and well-known scientists participated the meeting.
At the meeting, the chairmanship of Academies of Sciences of the Turkic World was transferred from the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic to the National Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan.
At the event, the comprehensive development of scientific cooperation between Turkish states, the possibilities of implementing joint scientific research projects against the background of the problems faced by Turkish countries in the field of ecology in recent years, the effective use of scientific research, water resources, the development of modern technologies, green energy, etc. issues were discussed. There was also an exchange of views on the deepening of mutual relations in the field of humanitarian sciences related to the culture, literature, languages and common history of the Turkish peoples. It was stated that at the current stage of the integration of the Turkic peoples, the urgent task facing the Turkish states is to deepen the science and scientific-technical cooperation between the Turkic countries, including all fields of science.
During the discussion of the issues on the agenda, the participants drew attention to the importance of expanding the sphere of competence of the International Turkish Academy at the expense of natural and technical sciences.
Shahin Mustafayev stressed that, the International Turkish Academy, which is one of the Turkish cooperation organizations, should create common platforms and mechanisms for the development of scientific cooperation between the Turkish states as an international organization and scientific coordination center.
In this context, it was proposed to re-evaluate the potential of the Union of National Academies of Sciences of the Turkish World, established under the International Turkish Academy in 2015, as a platform.
The parties came to the conclusion that in order to give a new impetus to Turkish integration, scientific centers should be created in the scientific and technical field and scientists should implement joint projects with innovative features. In fact, the relevant provisions of the strategic document "View of the Turkish World - 2040", which contains the main goals of the development of the Turkish world for the coming decades, require it.
At the end of the meeting, the participants accepted the final document and determined the place and time of the next meeting of the union.
