Establishment date of the departmetn | The department is established as “Periodical press and bibliography” by the order of director of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Nizami, academic M.Shiraliyev on 1 July, 1961 and operated until 1971. The first head of the department was doctor of Philology, professor, Nazim Akhundov. The department of “Information and Bibliography” was formed with the order and initiative of professor Yashar Garayev after 15 year, in 1986 and the director was doctor of Philology professor, Islam Agayev. Unfortunately, this department was closed after 6 year, in 1992. According to the order of academic Isa Habibbayli, vice-president of ANAS and director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Department of “The History of the Press and Publicity” was established on June 24, 2014. New department’s first director, Dr. Sharaf Jalili (July-October 2014) has been identified. The department is headed by Asif Rustamli, doctor of Philology since October 24, 2014 |
