Matanat is one of the first researchers in Azerbaijani literature on the topic of intermedialism, which is a special form of dialogue between cultures. He is one of the literary critics who played an exceptional role in the new reading and analysis of our classical heritage, including the poetry of Seyid Azim Shirvani, during the years of independence. But for some reason it's easier for me to talk about him as a critic. Because his service in the literary process in this field is as old as a man's life.
