On March 18, tANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi held the next meeting of the Scientific Council.
Opening the meeting, the President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, congratulated the employees of the Institute of Literature on the occasion of Novruz, the holiday of national unity of the Azerbaijani people, which also heralds the arrival of spring and the awakening of nature, and conveyed his best wishes to the collective.
Then, Honorary Decrees were presented to Manzar Niyarli (Huseinova), a senior research fellow of the Department of Azerbaijani Literature of the Independence Period of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, on the occasion of her 75th anniversary, and to Sugret Mammadova, an employee of the Department of Literature of Turkic Peoples.
Speaking about scientific and organizational issues at the event, Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that the Action Plan of ANAS was approved at the meeting of the Presidium on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli” dated February 3, 2025. He said that in order to ensure the resolution of issues arising from the implementation of the Decree, various conferences and scientific sessions will be held in the scientific institutions and organizations of the Academy, regional scientific departments and centers, virtual exhibitions will be organized, as well as a number of monographic publications will be published. Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the tasks facing the Nizami Ganjavi Literary Institute in connection with the 140th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli.
Recalling the Order of President Ilham Aliyev “On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade” dated February 21, 2025, Academician Isa Habibbeyli emphasized the importance of studying the work of the People's Poet, Academician Bakhtiyar Vahabzade in more depth from the point of view of independence, Azerbaijani ideology and independence thought, within the framework of the implementation of the tasks arising from the relevant Order of the head of state. He said that in the light of his Order, a series of events dedicated to the poet's anniversary will be held at ANAS, new publications will be prepared, and spoke about the tasks facing the Institute of Literature in this direction.
Then, the employees of the institute - doctoral student Zarin Valiyeva and dissertationist Nazrin Aliyeva provided detailed information about their activities in the advanced training course they took at the University of Bialystok in Poland.
At the event, decisions were made to recommend for publication the books “Fuzuli Peak in the History of Azerbaijani Artistic Translation” by Doctor in Philology Ataemi Mirzayev, Head of the Fuzuli Studies Sector of the Institute, “Belarusian Folk Tales” by Doctor in Philology Malahat Gadirova, Leading Researcher of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Studies, and “Kirkuklu Novras Gadim (Life and Creativity, Work “Tarikhcheyi-Novras”, Ghazals)” by Orkhan Isayev, Researcher of the Department of Azerbaijani Oral Folk Literature and Written Monuments.
Scientific Secretary, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli informed on the holding of elections based on the announcement published in the “Elm” newspaper on February 14, 2025.
Finally, a number of current issues were considered.
