Bust of Nizami Ganjavi unveiled in Hungary

On October 19, the opening ceremony of the bust of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi was held in Hungarikum Park located in Lakitelek, Hungary.

In this regard, Ali Huseynli, the first deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), the chairman of the Committee for Law Policy and State-Building, visited Budapest, Hungary.

Ali Huseynli, the head of the working group of the Milli Majlis on inter-parliamentary relations with Hungary attended the opening ceremony of the bust of the genius poet and thinker of Azerbaijan, Nizami Ganjavi, in Lakitelek, as well as hold bilateral meetings in the Hungarian Parliament.

Ali Huseynli drew attention to the fact that our country is celebrating its historical victory these days, and the occupation of our territories has been ended with the full restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty in Karabakh. He expressed his gratitude to Sándor Lejak, the vice-speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, for erecting the bust of Nizami Ganjavi, who played a historical role in the development of Azerbaijani poetry, in Lakitelek.

At the same time, Hungary's activities in the direction of protecting the interests of our country both on a bilateral basis and on various international platforms were highly appreciated. The Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, at the same time, Sh. He recalled Lejak's visit to our country this year and his speech in the parliament, and noted the importance of further strengthening the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

In his speech, Sandor Lejak informed about the works done in Hungarikum park. He said that the work will be continued in the direction of erecting the monuments of the cultural figures of the Turkish states, as well as the busts of the representatives of Turkey and Uzbekistan, along with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, will be placed in this park.

After the official part, the ensemble consisting of young people from the countries included in the Organization of Turkic States performed songs belonging to Azerbaijan and other Turkic nations.

At the end, the participants of the event placed wreaths and bouquets of flowers in front of the bust of Nizami Ganjavi and took commemorative photos.
