V International scientific conference on "Genocide against the Turkic-Muslim peoples in the twentieth century"

Collaborators of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, doctors of philology Zakira Aliyeva and Aynura Pashayeva participated in the V International scientific conference on "Genocide against Turkic-Muslim peoples in the twentieth century" held in Gusar on April 26. The international conference organized by  was organized by the Institute of History named after AABakikhanov of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Ataturk Culture, Language and History Department at the Ataturk Research Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Turkey , Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan and Gusar District Executive Authority according to the decree of the President Ilham Aliyev "On the 100th Anniversary of the 1918 Genocide of Azerbaijanis" . Along with Azerbaijan, scientists, prominent historians from Turkey, the Russian Federation and its various subjects, from Poland, Albania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, India and Iraq participated in the conference.

At the opening ceremony, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Social and Political Affairs, Ali Hasanov presented President Ilham Aliyev's appeal to the conference participants.

Then vice-president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academici Isa Habibbayli, director of the Institute of History of ANAS, Yagub Mahmudov and head of the Gusar District Executive Authority, Shahed Alkhasov, spoke about the tragic consequences of the Azerbaijani people over the past two hundred years.

The conference titled "Genocide against the Azerbaijani people in the twentieth century" was delivered by doctor of filology Zakira Aliyeva, "Research on the history of genocide and school of Yagub Mahmudov", doctor of philology, Aynura Pashayeva  "20 January tragedy in the Azerbaijani press (1990-2000)" were attended. Participants of the conference, especially foreign guests, watched the slideshow demonstrated by both reports.
