ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, spoke at the opening ceremony of the 11th Baku International Book Fair, which was held on October 1 at the Baku Expo Center, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Such fairs, the academician continued, contribute to the development of printing, a culture of dialogue and reading in the country, and the exchange of scientific and literary knowledge.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that the highly organized 11th Baku International Book Fair will feature book presentations by scholars, public displays of new publications, and scientific conferences. All these events will further expand the scientific content and scope of this cultural event.
The head of ANAS emphasized that the creation of separate presentation areas at the exhibition named after such prominent figures as Nizami Ganjavi, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, and Bakhtiyar Vahabzade will contribute to the international promotion of the legacy of these brilliant representatives of Azerbaijani literature and culture. At the same time, the 11th Baku International Book Fair will showcase numerous new publications dedicated to prominent scientists and representatives of ANAS, as well as the 80th anniversary of the Academy of Sciences.
