The next issue discussed at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was the participation of the Academy in the XI Baku International Book Fair dedicated to the theme “Techno-man: yesterday's legend, today's event”.
President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, said that the XI Baku International Book Fair will be held at the Baku Expo Center on October 1-7, 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This year, the exhibition is dedicated to the theme “Techno-man: yesterday's legend, today's event” and will provide an opportunity for broad discussions on the impact of technology on human life in the scientific and cultural sphere of the modern era. 41 foreign organizations from 18 countries, more than 100 local publishing-printing and book-related enterprises will participate in the exhibition.
The head of ANAS said that the relevance of the topic “Techno-man: yesterday's legend, today's event” stems from the need to deeply analyze the changes in the position and functional role of man in society against the background of rapidly developing technologies in the modern era, the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on human activity on a scientific and philosophical level. He spoke about the reforms implemented by ANAS in recent years in accordance with state policy in the direction of artificial intelligence, and especially emphasized the complex measures aimed at the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of humanitarian and social sciences.
Touching on the importance of the high-level representation of ANAS at the XI Baku International Book Fair dedicated to the topic “Techno-man: yesterday's legend, today's event”, academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that this is of great importance in terms of supporting the state's scientific and technological development strategy and demonstrating the modernizing scientific priorities of ANAS.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli gave instructions on the high-level participation of all scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS in the exhibition and the presentation of publications reflecting the latest achievements to the public.
Then, the director of the ANAS "Elm" publishing house, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Sabuhi Gahramanov, informed the meeting participants about the preparations for the exhibition. He noted that the publications of ANAS will be presented at the exhibition in two directions: on October 1, under the themes "At the Academy: Bibliographic publications and serial academic publications" and on October 4, under the themes "The Academy's Zangezurname: from folklore collections to academic research". S. Gahramanov said that the preparatory work has already been completed and all necessary measures have been taken for the high-level participation of ANAS.
Taking into account the above, a relevant Commission has been established to ensure the participation of ANAS in the exhibition and organize the necessary events and discussions within the framework of the book exhibition.
