This was decided at the next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS.
Noting that President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order dated February 3, 2025 on the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the great composer, President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, said that the Action Plan of ANAS has been approved in connection with the implementation of the said document. He noted that the symposium, which will be held on September 25-26, jointly organized by the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, is an important step taken by Mr. President towards expanding relations with the Turkic world and will contribute to the development of the humanitarian and social sciences.
Then, the Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev, made a speech and provided information about the symposium, stating that the event will feature reports from scholars and specialists in the fields of folklore, art, culture, and musicology from more than 10 countries around the world, including Turkic states, and that the preparatory work has already been completed.
