The next issue discussed at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS. The "Electronic Academy" department has been renamed the Digital Academy, Artificial Intelligence and Electronic Services Department
President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, said that today, special attention is paid to the issues of artificial intelligence and digital development in our country, and during the current year alone, the head of state has successively signed the Decree on the approval of the “Digital Development Concept in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the Order on the approval of the “Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028” and the Decree “On the electronicization of document exchange between state bodies (institutions)”. Also, the Academy of Artificial Intelligence has recently started operating in our country.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, who stated that activities are being carried out in this field at ANAS in accordance with the aforementioned steps taken by our state, stated that the “Electronic Academy” department, established in January 2023, has justified itself by achieving many innovations and successes in the direction of digitalization, application of artificial intelligence technologies, and expansion of electronic services at the Academy over the past 2 years. He noted that in the new technological reality, the need to change the name of the “Electronic Academy” department and, accordingly, expand its areas of activity has arisen.
Speaking on the mentioned issue, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Vice-President of ANAS, said that the proposal to rename the “Electronic Academy” department as the Digital Academy, Artificial Intelligence and Electronic Services Department fully covers the work carried out in this field in our country under the leadership of the head of state.
Later, by the decision of the Presidium, the “Electronic Academy” department was renamed as the Digital Academy, Artificial Intelligence and Electronic Services Department.
