A meeting with Almaz Ulvi Binnetova, writer-publicist, Doctor of Philology, Navoi scholar, researcher and propagandist of Uzbek literature, was held at the Presidential Library. In addition to the publications of which she was a guest author, she also donated works translated by other authors to the Library.
Almaz Ulvi Binnetova has devoted her scientific activity for nearly 30 years mainly to the study of Uzbek literature in Azerbaijan. Her scientific heritage includes monographs on the work of Alisher Navoi, studies on the historical problems of Azerbaijani-Uzbek literary relations, studies on the heritage of Eastern philology and Babur, as well as more than 250 articles. The researcher is also one of the authors of the “Azerbaijan-Uzbek / Uzbek-Azerbaijani” dictionary, consisting of 25,000 words.
The publications donated to the library cover a wide range of topics: the poetic and philosophical layers of the Navoi heritage and classical Eastern literature, the history of Azerbaijani-Uzbek literary relations, issues of literary criticism and linguistics, journalism on the topic of Karabakh, as well as publications on local history. This collection is a rich and useful resource for both researchers and a wide audience of readers interested in literature.
Director of the Presidential Library, Professor Afat Abbasova, assessed the publications donated by Almaz Ulvi Binnetova as a valuable contribution to the scientific and thematic richness of the library fund and wished the author success in her future scientific and creative activities.
