The publication “Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences: Bibliography of Bibliographies” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the 100th anniversary of the “Elm” publishing house has been published.
This book, published by the “Elm” publishing house, is the first initiative in the direction of preparing a bibliographic index of field bibliographic resources in the practice of bibliography in Azerbaijan. The scientific advisor of the bibliography is the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, the compiler is the director of the “Elm” publishing house, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Sabuhi Gahramanov, and the editor is Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Mehman Hasanli.
The publication was prepared within the framework of the Action Plan for the 100th anniversary of the “Elm” publishing house, approved by the relevant Resolution of the Presidium of ANAS. The book systematically collects information about bibliographic resources dedicated to full and corresponding members of ANAS, published from the middle of the last century to the present. The materials are presented in chronological order in the index, and within it, the names of personal indexes are presented in alphabetical order, and a query search engine has been developed to facilitate use. The main goal of the publication is to create conditions for the effective use of scientific bibliography, to contribute to the formation of the bibliographic repertoire in the country.
The book is intended for scientific researchers, librarians, bibliographers, as well as a wide audience of readers interested in the history of our science.
