The fourth part of Professor Mammad Aliyev’s novel “The Face of Longing” has been published under the title “A Distant Green Island”, the head of the Department of Literature of the Turkic Peoples of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS.
The author of the preface to the epic novel “A Distant Green Island” entitled “From Literary Theory to Academicism” is the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli.
The editor of the book is Aysel Sheydayeva, the artist is Minaya Feyzullayeva, the technical editor is Rena Ahmadova, the computer assembler is Sugret Mammadova, and the designer is Nigar Tagiyeva.
The fourth part of the novel consists of 3 parts. The book also includes a large-scale study by Doctor of Philology, Professor Nizami Taghisoy in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages entitled "The Artistic and Philosophical Discourse of the Novel "A Distant Green Island" and the Author's Narrative Paradigm".
The novel extensively describes the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan in the 80s-90s of the 20th century, the tragic consequences of the Armenian aggression, and talks about the tense and critical events in the personal life of the main character of the work, Murad.
