The monograph “National-literary environment in Azerbaijan and its historical geography (XIX century - early XX century)” by Vugar Ahmed, Doctor of Philology, Head of the Department of Press History and Journalism of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, has been published. The book was published by the decision No. 4 of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Literature dated June 19, 2025. The scientific editor of the publication is the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli. The Foreword to the book was written by Nazila Abdullazade, Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogy, laureate of the “Progress” medal. The reviewers of the book are Doctors of Philology, Associate Professors Gulbeniz Babayeva and Sabina Ahmadova.The monograph studies the formation, formation and development of the national literary environment in Azerbaijan and its historical geography in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The literary assemblies of those times and the creativity of the word artists formed in these assemblies are analyzed. The study forms an idea about the literary environment in Western Azerbaijan, South Azerbaijan, Kirkuk, Nakhchivan, Gazakh-Borchaly, Baku, Sheki, Ganja, Karabakh, Shamakhi, Derbent, Guba, Lankaran and other geographies. The 298-page book was published by the “Science and Education” publishing house. The work consists of an Introduction, three introductory chapters, a conclusion and a literature section.
