The foundation of scientific and creative meetings "Literary Process" was laid in 1976-1984. Since 2013, they have been held at the Institute of Literature without interruption, the materials of the events are published in the form of a book, and since 2018, they have been regularly published in the pages of "Literary Newspaper".
The president of NANA, the director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Gandzhevi academician Isa Gabibbeyli spoke about this during his speech at the scientific and creative meeting "Literary Process - 2024".
Noting the importance of meetings from the point of view of understanding and explaining the literary process, as well as the development of science and literature, the academician emphasized that 10 volumes covering scientific and creative meetings "Literary Process" have already been published.
Academician Isa Gabibbeyli spoke about the chronology of the "Literary Process" movement. Academician named 1976-1984. the foundation, the initial stage of the movement, in those years the meetings were held uninterruptedly, at the head of the movement were outstanding writers; In the following years, the meetings were not held until the mid-1990s, then they were resumed in 1994 and continued to be held until 2011.
Naming the second stage from 1994 to 2010, the period of resumption of meetings "Literary process", the head of NANA said that, unlike the meetings that took place in the Soviet period, the features created during the period of independence in the field of scientific, cultural, and public thought made it possible to hold meetings in a more solemn atmosphere and attract a larger number of representatives of the literary environment to the process.
In 2013, Academician Isa Gabibbeyli continued, the meetings were resumed at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi in the conditions of wide creative opportunities created by the period of independence, as well as in accordance with the factors of Azerbaijan and national unity. The academician called the third stage from 2013 to 2017 the period of reformation of scientific and creative meetings "Literary process".
Academician Isa Gabibbeyli noted that since 2013, the scope of these meetings has expanded, while preserving the classical form, such fields as art journalism and literary translation were added, in 2014 there was a transition from types of literature to genres, in 2015 prose was represented by short stories, short stories and novels. As the years passed, the academician continued, the number of speakers grew, well-known authors and writers took part in the meetings, reports were published on the pages of influential newspapers and journals.
Having said that 2017-2020 is the period of transformation of scientific and creative meetings "Literary process" into a literary and scientific movement, the president of NANA emphasized that 2020 is the end of the period of the literary movement and the beginning of a new stage, which can be called the period of the Victory discourse. The academician added that in connection with the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020, such important topics as "Supreme Commander", "Great Return", "Glorious Victory", "Azerbaijan Army", "Brave Soldier", "Historical Victory" appeared in literature.
Academician Isa Gabibbeyli reported that in 2021 the literary process became even deeper, in various genres a large place was given to the theme of war, and in 2022 the theme of war became the leading one even in children's prose. The academician emphasized that the first play dedicated to the full restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty as a result of one-day local anti-terrorist measures in 2023 has already been written, and this process is ongoing.
Calling the stage of scientific and creative meetings "Literary process" from 2020 the "period of discourse of Victory", the head of NANA added that since that year, the essence of literature has become deeper, the history of literature has been involved in research in the world of new thinking, in all genres the ideas of striving for struggle, invincibility and steadfastness, national self-awareness and self-confidence can be traced.
At the end of his speech, Academician Isa Gabibbeili wished success to the "Literary process" and expressed his confidence that the meetings will lead to the appearance of new works that will become a literary event.
