Secretary of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, poet and translator Salim Babullaoglu spoke at the scientific and creative meeting "Literary Process - 2024", which was held at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS.
Salim Babullaoglu greeted those present on behalf of the Chairman of the AWU, People's Writer Anar and wished success to the meeting. He spoke about the fruitful ties formed in recent years between the AWU and ANAS, including the Institute of Literature and other scientific institutions, citing the collections of "Literary Process" as a specific example of this cooperation, as well as the materials published on the pages of "Ədəbiyyat qəzeti" and other media outlets.
Salim Babullaoglu said that the events held in the cultural and scientific environment are of great importance not only due to their content, but also due to their duration, consistency, and the continuity of the "Literary Process" meetings, which have been organized for about 15 years, increases their scientific and cultural significance. In this context, he especially emphasized the persistence demonstrated by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli and the staff of the Institute of Literature.
The Secretary of the UPA added that without objective literary criticism and a scientific view from the outside, the integrity and independent value of literary works are not fully formed, and for this reason, criticism acts as an integral and final stage of the creative process.
In conclusion of his speech, Salim Babullaoglu wished new creative successes to all participants of the event - literary scholars, representatives of the scientific community and the creative environment.
