President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli has visited Sabahattin Zaim University in Istanbul as part of his visit to Turkey.
Rector of the university, Professor Ahmet Cevat Acar, provided detailed information about the history, structure, activities in the field of science and higher education, and international relations of the higher education institution he leads, and drew attention to their interest in cooperation with scientific and research institutions of ANAS. He specifically noted that the prominent Turkish poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy once worked at this educational institution.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, in turn, spoke about the directions of ANAS's activities, spoke about the existing cooperation relations between scientific and higher education institutions in Turkey, and provided information about the research of the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Center established at the Nizami Institute of Literature.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli expressed the importance of establishing mutual cooperation between Sabahattin Zaim University and the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Center of the Nizami Institute of Literature.
After the exchange of views, documents related to Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the author of the National Anthem of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, who once studied at Sabahattin Zaim University and later worked as a teacher there, were reviewed, and historical photos were viewed.
The meeting was also attended by Professor Muzaffar Şeker, President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences.
