A number of intellectuals were awarded the "Ashiq Alasgar - 200" jubilee medal for their services in promoting the heritage of Dede Alasgar. Among those awarded were writer-publicist Malahat Ismayilgizi, Dede Alasgar's granddaughter, artist Naila Islam gizi Alasgarli, Doctor of Philology Almaz Binnetova, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Almara Nabiyeva, and researcher Alemdar Jafarov.
The late Doctor of Philology, Professor Gara Namazov was also awarded the same medal posthumously. The medal was presented to the family members of the deceased.
