Within the framework of the IV Turkic World Literature and Book Festival, a panel discussion was held on the topic of “Seyid Azim Shirvani – 190”, dedicated to Seyid Azim Shirvani, one of the famous poets of Azerbaijan.
The panel discussion was dedicated to the analysis of Seyid Azim Shirvani’s contributions to literature and the importance of his rich heritage.
The panel was moderated by the leading scientific researcher of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Matanat Vahid.
Seyfaddin Huseynli, editor-in-chief of the magazine “World Literature”, Asad Aslanoglu, official representative of MIMTA Publications and Turan Ibrahimov made speeches.
The event widely discussed the literary heritage of Seyid Azim Shirvani, his influence on the literature of his time and the modern era. The deep meanings and national spirit in Shirvani's poems were re-presented to the participants.
During the discussions, the importance of Shirvani's works for future research and publications was also noted.
At the end of the panel, proposals were made to conduct more detailed research on the life and work of Seyid Azim Shirvani in the future, and to promote his position in Azerbaijani literature.
