ANAS Literary Institute held International literary event "Literary Krakow - 2025"

An international literary event on  "Literary Krakow - 2025" was held at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, jointly organized by Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan-Poland International Scientific Culture Center and NG Creators Club.

The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Institute of Literature, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Mehman Hasanli, Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Pavel Radomski, head of the Azerbaijan-Poland International Scientific Culture Center, Head of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Studies of the Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Guler Abdullabayova, head of the Department of International Relations Nigar Isayeva, Director of the NG Creators Club Natig Aliyev, students of BSU and others.

Opening the event, has dedicated to the creativity of the Nobel Prize laureates of the Republic of Poland in Literature, Mehman Hasanli, Deputy Director of the Institute of Literature, noted that the main goal of this meeting is to expand the cultural and intellectual dialogue between Azerbaijani and Polish literatures and enrich the worldview of young people. Mehman Hasanli, who reviewed the research conducted on world literature, including Polish literature, at the institute he represents, also emphasized the importance of student exchange and joint projects.

Then, the Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Pavel Radomski delivered a speech, thanking for organizing the event and expressing his satisfaction with being at the Institute of Literature. He highly appreciated the value given to Polish literature.

Professor Guler Abdullabayova, head of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Studies, PhD in Philology, Polish teacher of Baku Slavic University Barbara Piontek and Deputy Chairman of the Polish-Azerbaijani Community Aleksander Kostin spoke at the event and talked about the results of the work done in the field of literary relations. They recalled that the first event of the Literary Krakow series was organized at the Academy of Sciences in 2023.

The event included awards for the winners of the essay competition at Baku Slavic University and a performance of an artistic composition with the participation of the students.
