Today, the President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Director of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli,
visited the “Oral Folk Literature and Literary Monuments” Department. Extensive discussions were held about the plans and prospective activities of the Department.
The Head of the Department, Honored Scientist, Professor Maharram Gasimli, the Chief Scientific Worker of the Department, Honored Scientist, Professor Gazanfar Pashayev, the leading scientific workers, Doctors of Philosophy in Philology Mammadova Tinatin, Isayeva Nigar, Gasimova Aygun, Mammadova Svetlana and scientific worker Narmin Hasanova, conveyed the results of their work and future research plans to Academician Isa Habibbeyli.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli expressed his satisfaction with the general activities of the Department and instructed to preserve the scientific and historical tradition of this valuable Department. He evaluated the work done in the field of Western Azerbaijani folklore, Iraqi-Turkmen oral literature, and ashug epics and gave his scientific recommendations. At the end, commemorative photos were taken.
