Cleaning, landscaping and greening works are continuing in the territory of the Main Building of ANAS in connection with the spring season.
President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli and members of the Presidium of the Academy once again got acquainted with the greening and landscaping works in the Rare Trees Park located on the campus of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and inspected the area.
Thus, within the framework of the cleaning and greening days at ANAS, about 100 ancient and "Red Book" species of Azerbaijani flora planted in accordance with the climatic conditions of our country, such as the Beautiful birch, the Hirkan birch, the iron tree, the Caucasian date palm, the Lankaran acacia, the chestnut-leaved oak, the Eastern plane tree, the narband belonging to the Nakhchivan flora, as well as the large-leaved azatagh, etc., were provided with agrotechnical care, soil sanitation, park landscaping, tree spraying, protection, irrigation, etc. were carried out.
On this occasion, the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, stressed the importance of planting rare trees and flower bushes in the surrounding areas in connection with the days of cleaning and greening, and gave a number of instructions regarding the improvement and greening of the area.
It should be noted that the Rare Trees Park was established in 2023 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The purpose of creating the Rare Trees Park is to protect the ecology in our country, promote a sense of care for nature, and improve the environment. The Rare Trees Park located in the Academy campus, in addition to being a green area, will also play the role of a scientific and experimental base in the future.
