On May 5-6 of this year, an international symposium on the topic “Social Sciences and Technical Engineering in the Turkic World” was held in Tashkent, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan and the Renaissance University of Education, with the participation of Turkic-speaking higher education institutions. The international symposium, which was jointly organized by prestigious universities in Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and other countries, can be considered a scientific and cultural bridge connecting scientists of the Turkic world.
The plenary session of the symposium, which began with the motto “From words to deeds, from deeds to actions, every effort is a service to our future relations”, was attended by intellectuals, rectors, ambassadors, and specialists in technological and engineering knowledge from leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, the USA, and Russia. The symposium participants made reports on the research conducted in the scientific institutions of the countries they represented, practical experiences, and innovative ideas implemented. At the symposium, brotherly Turkey was represented by a large group of intellectuals from İzzet Baysal, 17 Eylul, Hacı Bayram Veli, Gelişim, Biruni, and Ankara Universities.
At the international symposium, the reports of Doctor of Philology Salida Sharifova, an employee of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS from Azerbaijan, “Agha Mirza Ismayil Asef’s “Dastani-Shukufat-Sarguzashti-Yetiman” as an example of artistic translation” (online), Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Zakira Aliyeva, “Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature in the Scientific Range: Scientific Portrait”, and Manzar Huseynova (Niyarlı) “Postmodernism in the Short Prose of Salida Shammad gizi” were also met with interest. Discussions were held around the reports, and questions were answered. Within the framework of the symposium, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Zakira Aliyeva and Manzar Huseynova (Niyarlı) gave introductory reviews on Azerbaijani literature and literary criticism for students of the Philology Faculty of Renaissance University, and participated in Open Lectures.
The main topics of the sections of the international symposium, which continued its work with interesting and intense practical dialogues, were Philology: scientific research and education, Engineering, Mathematical Modeling, Information Systems and Technological Knowledge, History and culture of Turkic states in the Eurasian region, The role and importance of green economy and digital technologies in ensuring sustainable development, Pedagogical knowledge and research in modern society.
The reports in the sections of the international symposium, held in the conference hall of the “Resident Park” hotel, in the building of the Renaissance Education University, at the residence of the first secretary of Uzbekistan, writer Sharaf Rashidov, were presented with simultaneous translation in Uzbek, Turkish, Russian and English.
During the symposium, it was proposed to organize a scientific-practical platform that ensures mutual cooperation of specialists working in the countries of the Turkic world, especially in the post-Soviet space, and to prepare a roadmap based on proposals and recommendations that will contribute to future development in the direction of establishing cooperative relations that include joint participation in scientific projects.
The proposed roadmap for science, education, economy and technological-engineering among Turkic-speaking states discussed the creation of a common hybrid science and education platform that combines projects and programs in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital resources, language, and advanced practices as a pressing issue.
The preparation of technological-engineering infrastructure projects, mobility programs for a network of mutual scientific research based on the multidisciplinary foundations of scientific knowledge, the creation of a technology park, and an innovation center were proposed and discussed.
The main goal of holding the symposium is to achieve a high image of global scientific solidarity in the Turkic world. In particular, bringing together the humanities and technical disciplines and establishing academic cooperation is necessary for the common future and social well-being of the Turkic world and will be an important foundation for new scientific research.
