Baku, organized by the Main Department of Culture of the City Mammad Said Ordubadi Memorial Museum, a memorial event entitled "Artist living in hearts" was held on May 1st in the Alley of Honors, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the death of the outstanding writer, public figure, founder of the historical novel genre in Azerbaijan Mammad Said Ordubadi.
Rasima Ahmadova, acting director of the Mammad Said Ordubadi Memorial Museum, greeted the participants of the event.
The scientific secretary of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Janjavi of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Aygun Bagirli, Doctor of Philology Esmira Fuad, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Firudin Gurbansoy spoke at the memorial event.
The event was attended by poetess-publicist Zarangiz Demirchi-Gayali, senior advisor to the Nakhchivan Representation in Baku Ramazan Abbasov, directors of the Jalil Mammagguluzade, Azim Azimzade, and Jafar Jabbarli house-museums, researcher of the Ordubadi heritage Naila Samedova, and chairwoman of the "Aytam" - Public Union for Cultural Enlightenment of Children, Humanitarian Support to the Families of Patriotic War Participants and Martyrs Parvane Salmangizi. The speeches expressed ideas about the in-depth study, preservation, and transmission of the writer's rich heritage to future generations. Students of Narimanov district secondary school No. 45 recited the writer's poems. At the end, the participants of the event visited the grave of the outstanding writer.
